There are many things to do and we will always need help...

Volunteers are the reason BARK exists. Helping animals requires a lot of effort, and it's not all about physically caring for the animals. There is a lot of that to do, of course, but there is also an array of other things we have to do to make that possible.

People from all walks of life have contributed and continue to contribute in a group effort to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate four legged street-dwellers among us.

Some people help with caring for or fostering animals, some people help out at our weekly flea market and adoption event, some people lend us equipment such as vehicles, some people organize fundraising events, some people help out by putting together publications, some people help out by using their language skills to help with translations, and the list goes on. It's as though everyone has something special to offer and it's only once we work together that we really make a difference.

So if you have any skills at rest that you would like to put to good use, or if you just want to help animals somehow, please drop us a line as we would love to hear from you. Every little bit counts!

Donations help, too!

If there are not enough hours in one day to volunteer, your donations would really help. In fact, we do not only depend on the generous hands of volunteers, but also in the generosity of the local community and of other people worldwide in order to carry out our mission. The big majority of our expenses are veterinary consultation fees and medication for sick and needy animals. The more support we receive, the more animals we can help together. Donate flea market items and other services

BARK holds a weekly flea market where used items are sold to raise funds to help animals. Electronics, books, movies, CD's, teaching material, pots, pans and other kitchen items, etc... We do not sell many clothes at our flea market, but we do work with another organization that ships second hand clothes to people in need in Africa. Please contact us to arrange for a pick-up or drop-off of your unwanted items.
